that's GANGSTA!
Aiight, my dawg G here says to add my own 2 ciddents to tha latest dealie with Fox Boogie. (Is that your chick?) Yo, I dunno dawg, but judgin' by these phizzat trizzacks I been pennin for her lately, this Brooklyn chick's gon' end Lil' whatshername's career this summer. Some news if ya haven't heard, the album's pushed back till June now, uh-huh-uh. See Jigga Man here's been FOCUSED MAN, you remember them old songs I wrote for Foxy, all about jewelry, fancy designer clothes, some raunchy shit about ridin' dick and fuckin' niggas topless, kind of like the Ludacris remix, yeah I wrote that one too. I like to write those songs the most because it brings out my feminine side. Oops, I think I said too much, guess I'm too pissy off the Chrissy! Next thing you know I'll be singin' off key-- "..And I wiiiiiisssshh I neeeever met her, at all." That's why I gotta keep tryna remind myself that Foxy's flows have to be hardcore this time around. So anyway I keep forgettin this is supposed to be the news section, in the industry the buzz is Puffy got dumped by J-Lo on Valentine's day, ain't life a biotch. One bad day for him, because they also found new evidence against him too. Turns out he's the only one who knew how to open the damn glove compartment. 6:15, never shoot in the club, 7:15 you be losin' your love.... As you know, Foxy's brother has yet to testify against him. Also, Napster's always been a big-ass concern for us industry-moguls, but Foxy might get off lucky if the service gets bought out by BMG by this summer. That will probably reduce her odds of people jackin her joints before they hit the shelf. It's a Hard Knock Life.
Hot on the heels of her controversial verse from Capone-N-Noreaga's "Bang Bang," Foxy Brown is gearing up for the release of her still-untitled third album, which is scheduled to arrive in June. The Brooklyn rapper is still recording songs for the follow-up to Chyna Doll, which will include the single "Oh Yeah." Brown's fans will likely salivate when she touches on her ongoing rivalry with Lil' Kim, as a Def Jam publicist said the topic will be addressed on the new album. Song titles specific to that topic were unavailable at press time. The war of words between Brown and one-time friend (and fellow Brooklyn rapper) Lil' Kim has been brewing since Brown, who made her first appearance in 1995 on L.L. Cool J's "I Shot Ya" single, emerged months after Kim debuted as a part of Junior M.A.F.I.A. that same year. Chyna Doll was released in 1999 and featured Brown seemingly mimicing Kim's throaty delivery; Kim dissed Brown (and others) with her verse on the remix for Mobb Deep's "Quiet Storm (White Lines)," which was released later that year. Brown fired back with a biting verse about Kim on Capone-N-Noreaga's "Bang Bang," which was the talk of the underground last summer. —Soren Baker Well I'm out playa, I got a video shoot to go do.. peace, BAY-beh! I accidentally lost/deleted my last update about Foxy and Charli's latest joint, my comments on it, and whatever else news was on there, like Colby ending his Foxy boycott on Power109! Also my thoughts on Foxy being on Napster for the first time (for the new album) have disappeared. But I'm sure you read it already, so no big deal. Thought I'd add some extra newsflashes I missed the first time around, with my own input of course. Also added Marcus' banner, some lyrics, and oh yeah... long time no haterade.
Marchand initially backed away from his grand jury testimony that he had seen Combs and Scar arguing before the shooting, but relented after Bogdanos reminded him of his earlier statements.
Marchand also testified said that his perception was clouded on the night of the shooting, after drinking "a couple of bottles of champagne."
The rapper, a close friend of Shyne, testified that he didn't see who fired that night, because he hit the floor as soon as he heard the shots. Earlier in the evening, he had hugged Combs, putting his arm around his waist [too much information!], and felt no sign of a gun, he said. Both Mahamah and Marchand testified that they saw money thrown in the air just before the shooting, but neither saw who threw it. [Who cares, right? It's just raining money...]
